I don't need anyone's help

Story of my life...maybe yours too...??

A great show of independence, but not always the best way to go.

Asking for help

I have to say that it's when I've taken and asked for help that I have grown the most...when I've had great advice, a different perspective, and fabulous coaches asking questions that make me dig deeper and challenge my thinking and feelings.

When we fake it until we make it (or become it) we're in a state of conscious effort and trying, this can be quite exhausting. And even though we're trying when we experience pressure and stress our "subconscious" programs and habits usually overcome our conscious efforts and trying (cool, calm and collected...is suddenly trumped by snapping someone's head off or mentally throwing laptop/phone out the window!).

Being independent is wonderful, but we need and experience other people to provide us with other perspectives of our self.

When seeking out other perspectives through coaching be sure that the questions allow you to explore and challenge your thinking. If they make you feel a little uncomfortable and squirmy then your on the right track.
