Begin By Loving Yourself

In my almost 36 years on this planet in this body I can say with great certainty that at least 90% of it did not have messages that taught me to love myself first.

And I've turned out alright...right?

Yes I've fallen head over heals in love with myself, but this came with many trials and tribulations...lots of painful learning and then lots of time releasing, forgiving and asking for forgiveness.

Imagine for a moment that I was taught to love myself first. Everything that I am, my Roman nose, my somewhat large ears that are flat on the outer edge and not rolled in, my flat bum, my chicken legs, the stretch marks on my butt...Okay yeah I didn't have all of that when I was born but when it came about if I already loved myself I'd easily love those things too.

But here we are, in an age of social media telling us what we should look like, what we should do, how we should behave (questionable narcisitic behaviours - differenct to self-love I'd say). I started following some feeds to try and understand my business' target audience, and it made me sad what the women I want to work with are looking at on a daily basis and what this is doing to the inner child. Filling ourselves with self-loathing - turning into anxiety and depression because we're not good enough and we're not worth it even to "I don't deserve to live".

It really does break my heart.

It was one message that got through to me, and it was from the Dalai Lama, happiness first starts with self. Only then can you give happiness to others.

I'm not sure what message will do it for you...I hope this one triggers something.

You are beautiful, you are loved, you are worth it, you deserve to live! All of your 'imperfections' make you who you are and when you embrace everything you will radiate love from every cell of your body.

Be your best,

Bhav xx

P.S. I am in no way hating on my parents skills in raising me, you do what you think is best and that is from what you have observed and learned from your elders. I thank my parents for all of my experiences because without them I would be here right now, in love with myself and able to share this message with you now.
